i'm so ana
jon, just so you know, i love your comment from the eating picture. and i love that you use the word ana...sooo jon...
anyway, i just got back from 3-d. yep, i'm done with that for the day. i still have to go to a horrendously boring art history elective, but then i'm done, and i can nap. i just had a double-shot espresso thing and i'm still exausted. go me.
i was surprised to find that i actually like my 3-d teacher! i guess you should never go into something with preconcieved notions because you really don't know until you see it yourself. i can tell he's going to be really difficult, he's already given us a lot of work, but unlike the other two teachers i really feel like he knows what he's talking about and i'm going to learn something from him. he started out the class with, "yes, i am the chess set bastard"...in an english accent mind you. "bastard" just sounds so funny in an english accent...
so yea anyway i have to find a 3-d artist (sculpture, id, architecture, fashion, etc) that i like and make 16 pieces of a chess set based on their work, or at least their medium. i'm nervous, cuz it seems like its going to be hard, but excited too cuz it sounds like fun! and i have to figure out what i want to do with for a relief sculpture (that's our first assignment, along with the chess set). any ideas? i'm not a sculptor. he said it can be about anything, but we're making it out of 50 lbs. of white earthen clay, which i have to carry two blocks to our studio. good times. i need a fucking trolly. any suggestions for either? i'm open to them. i think for now i'm going to print out some pictures (yes, andrea, of you too!! and emily!) and put them up on my wall cuz i'm so not in the working mood. plus, i've got less than an hour.
perhaps i'll add more to the "me!" blog too. ooh and i have to go to the mail room. good times.
i'll update again later, perhaps after a nap. love love
p.s. andrea - i am deep! what are you laughing at?? haha ;-) and yes, i looove art school too...well, so far.
